Geotechnical Engineering
Unknown subsurface soil conditions cause more construction problems than any other factor. That is why geotechnical engineering forms the foundation for nearly all construction projects. An evaluation of site soil conditions is critical to appropriate foundation design and construction planning, to identify soil issues that will be encountered during construction. Site specific engineering recommendations during the design stage, with testing and inspections during construction will help to ensure that soil-supported structures will perform as expected in the future.
Most soil explorations are performed with our truck-mounted, Mobile B-47 drill rig. Drilling, laboratory testing, and engineering are all performed from our Prescott location, which results in cost-effective and timely service.
ETC provides geotechnical soils reports for all sizes of projects, including:
- New Homes
- Subdivisions
- Commercial Development
- Public Infrastructure
Recommendations for:
- Foundation Support (Post-tensioned, shallow & deep foundations)
- Site Grading / Earthwork
- Concrete Slabs
- Pavement Structure
- Slope Stability
- Retaining Walls and Lateral Soil Pressures
